Als Antwort auf Miguel Gonzalez. Well, it should be enabled by default. At least it is on my Synology NAS. You can check it by looking at the apache conf file at /usr/local/etc/apache24/conf/httpd24.conf On my machine it is loaded with LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so If that's not the case for you, you could create your own conf file in the same directory with the above mentioned statement. Good luck.

Thanks for the tutorial. Unfortunately, this method doesn’t seem to work in Web Station under DSM 7.2 as there’s no longer an option to create a virtual host (therefore no ability to specify document root). Do you know of any workarounds?

Thanks for this post, as I too experienced issues with Web Station in DSM 7.

Once I got the new portal working for WordPress and disabled the old, WordPress was still broken. I think found this article which fixed the problem:

Wanted to share this as this was an issue for me as well, then WordPress had difficulty loading with the Web Station path being changed. After this change, all was well.

Thank you for sharing this! Looks like a bug that deserves FB. I was not bitten by this by having to use insertOverlay for a long time now. Doesn’t looks like a feature, but a bug.

Als Antwort auf Andras. No, I did not find any other solution than that described in this post. In short:

Disable the default portal for WordPress

Create a customised portal for WordPress pointing to the main domain

If you have other standard packages enabled: Create a sub-domain and an "Alternative Portal of Default Server" for that sub-domain and access the other other packages with sub-domain/package

For non-standard packages I do not have a solution yet.

Hi,

Just curious if you have found a way since then to be able to access a WordPress site without the ‚wordpress‘ in the URL on DSM 7.

Most guides I found were for DSM 6.x not taking the separate web-packages folder that came with DSM 7.x into consideration.

If you managed to get it to work, I’d love to hear how – been looking into this for a week now.
